Furthermore, we have pioneered the ‘slick’ heat tolerant gene which is a breakthrough for milk production in tropical and sub tropical climates. As the cow comfort zone is between 8-18 degrees most African climates fall into the heat stress zone which diminishes milk production and compromises fertility etc.

By breeding pure dairy cattle with a ‘slick’ heat tolerant gene one creates a pure dairy animal with the same heat tolerance of any indigenous breed but with significantly more production potential in sub optimal warmer climates
